Development Projects

Located at 91 Lisbon Avenue - Former Buffalo Public School #63 was converted into 44 one and two bedroom apartments, a community room and tenant amenities, along with 59 gated parking spaces. The auditorium turned into common space and a two story apartment. The gymnasium was also converted into two separate apartments.

The period in which the school had historic significance was 1917 and 1925. Original bricks were refurbished and “boys” and “girls” entrances were kept on either side of the school among other things that made the building significant for historic tax credits.

Funding for the project was approved from the Better Buffalo Fund, Housing Finance Agency, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Federal and State Historic Preservation Tax Credits and the City of Buffalo HOME Funds.
